Glass Fiber Ropes
This type of rope is constructed of high quality glass fiber that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 540℃. This material resists most acids and alkalis and is highly flexible and conformable.
The glass fiber ropes are usually used for wrapping the rollers in the exit of heating section and the entrance of quenching section. The typical size used in glass tempering industry is 5.5 x 5.5mm for Tamglass ovens and 8 x 4mm for Landglass furnaces. Besides the application in glass tempering furnaces, Fortemp fiberglass tapes are also applied to glass lamination lines. This flat tapes are for wrapping the nipping rollers in pre-lamination oven of PVB film autoclaving glass lamination line. The common sizes of flat tapes used in glass lamination process is 55mm x 3mm and 55mm x 6mm.
